Country House Search
We are aware that a country house search can be a complex and often frustrating process. Unlike looking in a city, where many properties are very similar, the nature of a country home is that the majority of them are unique. Our service involves having a clear understanding of the drivers behind your search, which are equally as important as knowing your ‘wish list’. Very often our clients view many country houses that should fit the bill but it is sometimes something quite unexpected that eventually satisfies the brief.
Back to servicesOur Approach
Our approach to the search for a country home is as unique as the houses themselves. Every client has a distinct set of requirements and each involves an original approach based upon our philosophy of proactivity, lateral thought, extensive networking and a great deal of hard work.
How can we assist you?Local Contacts
We pride ourselves in having a tenacious approach to finding and buying country houses as well as putting significant effort into ensuring that our search consultants continually cultivate a local network of contacts who are all working toward finding your next country home.
We know many local owners of special country houses across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire and Hampshire and, in many cases, are in a position to approach them direct on your behalf.
We also work very closely with the local estate agent network, to ensure that our clients are in a position to have the earliest possible access to properties that they have been instructed to sell.
How can we assist you?Due Diligence
Once we have found the country house you would like to purchase, we would then carry out due diligence on the property to ensure that we have as much detail as possible before commencing the negotiation process.
Having also carried out detailed research on the value of the house, we would discuss the possible negotiation tactics with you and, acting on your instruction, would then handle negotiations on your behalf.
How can we assist you?Conveyancing process
Once terms are agreed we are able to handle as much of the conveyancing process as possible including arranging surveys, investigating any planning requirements and gathering quotes on any work you may require on your future country home.
