My brother suffered a spinal cord injury a year ago and, after five months in hospital, was discharged and faced life as a wheelchair user. He returned to my mother’s home who had died at the same time he sustained his injury, but as an 89 year old woman, you can imagine, lovely though her home is, it is totally unsuitable for a wheelchair user. I searched for a property in south west London for five months but my brother and I realised  we would not find anything remotely suitable.
